Fresh off the buzzworthy launch of Pamplona, DAC was awarded the Provision no.14 project from the Social Restaurant Group behind Pamplona. P14 is already well known for its beautiful upstairs lounge, with lines forming in the evening, the bar crowd angling for drinks in a nook in the dark eclectic lounge area, with mismatched couches and retro wingback chairs. The owners understood the need to expand on their beverage program, by taking the concept of full restaurant and cocktail lounge to the next level. Why go upstairs, when the dark and loungy vibe can start right downstairs when one steps in. P14’s redesign takes the communal provisional origins and treats it with a dark and moody lounge vibe. Imagine a scene from an underground warehouse, with grains, liquor, and the chortle of a horse or two in a stall, and you will have DAC’s design elements for P14. Metals with caged mesh to separate VIP areas, mixed in with exposed brick, stucco walls lined with horse head figures and recycled tin ceilings. All this, juxtaposed with dark Basalt counters and gold walls give it a rich, luxe bar atmosphere and an air of mystery. The gorgeous eye catching banquettes covered in Deep merlot ultrasuede add that element of sultry and makes it a place to be seen.
